Private Lessons

Rockstar offers 30 minute and 60 minute private Ukulele lessons. Private lessons are taught from the comfort of your own home. Each lesson is personalized by a Certified Rockstar Instructor to inspire you at your individual skill level and help you reach your goals.

If you’d like to take a few lessons before purchasing your own uke, please let us know and we can provide you with an affordable rental. We know purchasing a new instrument can get pretty expensive - we’ve made it really easy to rent a practice ukulele so you can first get a feel for the instrument that’s right for you.

Ukulele lessons can be registered on a month-by-month basis.

    The Rockstar Advantage

The biggest challenge with taking music lessons is that students excitement level usually precedes skill build. All students start out quite excited by the idea of learning to play music. Being a Rockstar seems like so much fun! However, when students realize they don't yet have the skills to start sharing music with friends, they aren’t yet able to play their favorite music, and they are starting to realize that learning an instrument is probably harder than most other activities they're participating in, they often lose the initial excitement that was driving them.

We believe music is supposed to be fun, so why can't learning music be just as awesome?! Apart from taking regular private lessons, Rockstar students are grouped into small bands, based on instrument, skill level, age and experience. They attend weekly jams where they are able to apply what they know and experience making music together. When the student associates their musical activities with meaningful social interaction, the learning becomes internally-driven. After all, do we really want our kids to become professional musicians, or do we simply want them to love making music.
