A Guitar, Drum and Percussion teacher currently teaching online & north of the GTA with Rockstar. My interest in music began as a kid and since my grade school years. I've studied, written, recorded and performed both covers and original pieces throughout the GTA. I consider myself predominantly self-taught, however, I did study Recording Arts and Audio Engineering at Trebas Institute in 2019 after being in the Live Production industry since 2016. While I was a part of the Live Production industry I did everything from building stages to mixing live sound at venues and events. I trained for 5 years with a private instructor studying Brazilian and jazz and continued my music education in the regional arts instrumental program at St Elizabeth Catholic Highschool in Thornhill. I studied theory, classical percussion, and performance. I'd often participate in competitions and perform with other art schools in the USA and Canada. Some other bands I played for include jazz, R&B, rock, and theatre pit band for the drama arts department. Beyond teaching, I perform at events, music venues, bars & festivals, and I also run a weekly open mic in Oakville, where all levels can get on stage. These experiences allow me to bring real-world insight into my lessons and help students see how music can connect people. Fun facts: I’m a fan of all things related to space, linguistics, anime, and (probably too much) cheese.
