Hi, I’m George! I’ve been playing guitar and drums since 2013 and studied music at the University of Toronto Scarborough. I’ve been teaching music since 2024, including at Camp Manitou. My teaching philosophy is rooted in empathy, patience, and celebration. I believe learning music should be fun, encouraging, and rewarding! I tailor each student’s lessons and curriculum to their individual needs, interests, goals, and learning style, incorporating the songs and musical genres they enjoy while helping them develop their skills, confidence, and creativity. My goal is to create a supportive environment where every student feels comfortable exploring music, celebrating their progress, and discovering their own musical voice. I have performed at Sankofa Square and on Global News, and I enjoy recording my own music. Outside of music, I enjoy writing short fiction, making short films, and cycling.
