Hi, I'm Leo! My passion for music began at the age of 12 when I first discovered rock music, and it has remained a driving force in my life ever since. I hold a Bachelor of Music from York University and have been teaching for over 20 years. Throughout my career, I have taught both private lessons and full classroom music programs in private schools. I am passionate about helping students succeed and have developed a proven teaching approach that motivates students to learn, practice consistently, and achieve meaningful results. My lessons are designed to be engaging, rewarding, and tailored to each student's unique goals and interests. I believe every student learns differently, which is why I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual's experience level, learning preferences, and musical aspirations. My goal is to create a positive and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to challenge themselves, celebrate their progress, and build lasting confidence in their musical abilities. In addition to teaching, I have spent more than 15 years performing in bands and ensembles of various styles and sizes. I have also created and directed numerous student bands, developing a unique approach to arranging music and leading group performances. This experience has helped many young musicians gain valuable ensemble skills and perform successfully with confidence and enthusiasm. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to take your playing to the next level, I look forward to helping you reach your musical goals.
