I started leading music discovery classes for my son and his friends when they were about 2 years old (back in 2023), and around that same time, I started teaching my neighbours' two boys (now ages 6 and 10). Recently, their dad asked if I’d ever thought about teaching more because his boys love my music sessions, and honestly, I do too! It’s been a blast exploring singing, guitar, piano, drums, jamming together, and learning the basics of music production on their iPads. Over the years, I've taught toddlers, kids, and adults, but I began formally teaching music in 2023. When I’m not teaching or making music with friends, I love spending time with my wife and 4-year-old son—playing at the park, cooking together, and making lots of noise in the kitchen! I also consult with Canadian businesses to help them access government incentives for training apprentices and co-op students, including grants, tax credits, and refunds. My teaching journey began in 2017, and I have lots of experience working with students with autism, adhd, and Down syndrome. I believe that music should be a free form of art, allowing all expression to flow through. No boundaries or limits. Music can be anything you like it to be. It can be sad, happy, silly, angry, weird, scary, etc. I strive to make all my lessons a great time for learning, reflection and understanding. Students who learn from me learn musical discipline, musicianship, technique, application, improvisation, theory, and how to emote fluently through the instrument, among other things. If at any time my students have trouble with a concept i go through it thoroughly till they have the concept understood/perfected and i always give good warm ups and workouts to get around problems musically. Performing gave me so much more love for improvisation and the energy/life of music.
