I've learned music production and regularly release my work on music streaming platforms. I have been teaching since 2019 and was in an R&B band back in Toronto for a few years (Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Nina Simone, and Ray Charles), and have performed in jazz big bands and combos throughout. I've also led worship at my local church and served as a worship coordinator for a campus club. My teaching is student-centred — every lesson is tailored to the individual, always at their own pace, with encouragement along the way. There's also always room in my lessons to make mistakes, because that's how we learn! I take a holistic approach to music. I don't just teach an instrument, I teach musicianship — rhythm, theory, composition, and how to really listen and connect with music and other musicians. I believe you get out what you put in. I'm a guide, not just an information giver — the student drives their own progress. My biggest goal?
