I taught drums and guitar at several music schools and also taught English using guitar while in classroom settings as an ESL teacher in Honduras (Central America). I also taught guitar one-on-one for several years at home and while travelling, teaching English in Central and South America. I play the kajon and also worship drumming in a band setting. With a lot of church music becoming more sophisticated, I have had to constantly stay up to date with new artists and styles you might find in church. I have played drums, guitar (electric and acoustic), bass, and piano with bands in all kinds of settings, touring to churches, playing outdoor gigs, and playing at open mike nights in the GTA. I'm still active playing in churches right now and always keep on learning. I had to learn. My philosophy is to never stop learning and developing. Hi, I’m Daniel. I started playing guitar and ukulele in 2014, and over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to perform at festivals, on recordings, and even in musicals. What began as a hobby quickly became a true passion. I studied with a private instructor for 12 years, whose dedication and love for music had a huge impact on me. At the same time, I spent a lot of time teaching myself and exploring music on my own, which helped shape my style and understanding of the instruments. I’m currently at university full-time studying Engineering, but music remains a big part of my life. In all these years, I’ve never practised because I had to, only because I wanted to. That’s something my teacher instilled in me, and I now hope to pass it on to my students. One of the most beautiful things about the guitar is that you can start making music from the moment you pick it up, no matter your age or experience. My goal is to help others discover that same enjoyment and love for playing.
