Hey, I’m Omri! I graduated from Fanshawe College with a diploma in Music and Recording Arts. I have been teaching since 2025, and my approach is highly individualised. I believe the best lessons are built around each student’s unique interests, skill level, and musical goals. I take the time to understand what you want to achieve and structure lesson plans that support your growth while keeping learning engaging and enjoyable. I’ve been writing, recording, and performing music since 2015, with experience working in various studios and playing live at venues across London and Toronto. This hands-on experience allows me to bring real-world insight into my lessons, whether that means developing technique, understanding songwriting and recording, or building confidence as a performer. When I’m not teaching or performing, you’ll usually find me at the gym or in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes. I’m passionate about music and creativity both inside and outside the classroom, and I look forward to helping students discover and develop their own musical voice.

My lessons are personalized to meet each student's goals, whether they're learning for fun, preparing for performances, or developing their skills for school or community ensembles. Performance has always been an important part of my musical journey. I have been involved with the Station Krew Band, performed with the Voices of Broadway show choir, and have spent many years serving on worship teams in local churches, including as a worship team leader. These experiences have allowed me to perform in a variety of settings while developing a love for collaboration, musical excellence, and using music to connect with others. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, attending concerts, being outdoors, relaxing with my cats and listening to all kinds of different music. I love building meaningful relationships with my students and celebrating each milestone along the way. I studied with some of the most renowned musicians from Ireland, Cuba, and Jamaica. I have toured extensively worldwide from 2010 to 2019. Over the years, my experiences performing for diverse audiences have shaped my teaching approach. I firmly believe that music is a language, akin to teaching a baby to speak, sit, crawl, and eventually walk. My primary objective is to inspire students to develop a genuine love and appreciation for music, surpassing the acquisition of music theory. While I primarily focus on creating music for work, I also find myself using music as an entertainment and hobby.
