I believe that everyone has music in them that they can experience for themselves and others. For me, my job is to help students discover and cultivate a passion for music, so that whatever their goals may be, they will be able to stand on their own two feet musically. I seek to learn how my students learn; A cornerstone of my teaching is that we must enjoy the process as much as the product. My experience includes two years with the University of BC Big Band, performing at Vancouver Jazz Fest and Frankie's Jazz Club, as well as classical and jazz recitals in numerous senior homes, and collaborative opera and chamber music projects.
