She has also developed early music programs. She has experience catering to students’ individual needs and designing programs that engage her students. Although classical music, musical theatre, pop, and soul are the focus of her career and teaching, Cristina has been delighted to coach and perform in other styles of singing as well. She focuses on proper vocal technique in the areas of resonance, breath control and diction. She can prepare her students for university auditions, competitions, Royal Conservatory exams, other music exams, high school performances, or perhaps just to enjoy a beautiful art form. All of Cristina’s lessons are tailored to each student's goals, and she helps create an atmosphere of learning and fun. In piano lessons, she covers all areas of musicianship – technique, application of historical knowledge to the style of a particular piece, proper hand shape and posture, and the true painting of a picture through expression up to RCM Grade 2. Cristina can also prepare her students for RCM Voice Grade 6 and recorder at the intermediate level. Besides teaching, she also has a solo career over the past 20 years from Classical, pop, rock, R&B and musical theatre. Her return to classical and musical theatre is where she belongs. Having graced the stage in musicals, on cruise ships, in cathedrals, and in television and film, Cristina understands the passion and art of singing.
