I am a multi-instrumentalist with a mix of formal and self-taught education, and I have been teaching music since 2023. I believe music is a major gateway to self-expression, discovery, discipline, and most importantly, joy! Musical expression looks different for everyone, so I aim to identify each student's goals and motivate them to reach their highest potential by assessing their current skills and breaking down information in the simplest terms to build a strong foundation. Over the years, I have performed in school symphonic and jazz bands as a trombonist, as well as in various bands playing different instruments. Currently, I perform with my band as the main songwriter and lead guitarist, and I also release independent solo music. In addition to playing, performing, and composing music, I love playing video games and hanging out with my two cats, Geddy Lee and Allan Holdsworth.","image":"02206dff-38f0-40e9-ab3d-6c57a54b0277.jpg","name":"Myles M","styles":"Rock, Pop, Blues, Punk, Funk, Heavy Metal, R&B","instruments":"Guitar/Trombone/Ukulele/Bass","levels":"Advanced, Intermediate","languages":"English","DiffInMiles":2.249096113,"WorksWithSpecialNeeds":0,"WorksWithAutism":0,"WorksWithADHD":0,"AvailableForHomeClasses":true,"AvailableForGroupClasses":false,"RcmLevels":[{"Instrument":"Bass","Completed":null,"TeachUpTo":"Intermediate"},{"Instrument":"Guitar","Completed":"Level 7","TeachUpTo":"Advanced"},{"Instrument":"Trombone","Completed":null,"TeachUpTo":"Intermediate"},{"Instrument":"Ukulele","Completed":null,"TeachUpTo":"Intermediate"}],"id":"51252","city":"Calgary","state":"Alberta","description":"Hi, my name is Myles!
