Hi, I’m Jason. I have been involved in music since the age of 17, developing my skills through a combination of private instruction and self-directed learning. This blend of guided study and independent exploration has shaped both my playing style and my teaching approach. Since 2024, I have been teaching with a strong passion for helping students discover their own musical voice and build a solid foundation in music theory. My lessons cover everything from scales and rhythm to improvisation, with a focus on making each session engaging, creative, and tailored to the individual goals of the student. I like to begin a student’s journey with music that reflects their personal interests, while gradually introducing essential technical skills. This balance helps create a well-rounded learning experience that is both enjoyable and structured, supporting long-term growth and confidence as a musician. When not teaching or performing, you will find me at the movies, biking, camping and spending time with my bunny "Butterscotch".
