For as long as I can remember there was a guitar in the corner and a piano in the dining room. My mother was a music teacher so it was no surprise when I followed in her footsteps. I’ve organized youth band programs, directed choirs and have been teaching private guitar and piano lessons since 2014. Besides teaching, I’ve also been the audio engineer for some really cool projects including bilingual animation videos for local hospitals, an advertisement for Telus and more! I’ve recorded, mixed and mastered a lot of my own music in my home studio as well as other vocalists and bands. I strive to make my lessons engaging by finding ways to teach fundamentals in a way that also progresses the students personal goals. One way I find effective is to teach techniques through the songs they love. I’ve been performing longer than I’ve been teaching and have played multiple instruments for different bands and solo projects. For several years I also played all the English music for a local church. Song writing is also a great joy of mine that I would love to share with students.
