Write a song. Record it. Share it.
This November, every Rockstar student can write an original song with their teacher. Make a simple video, send it in, and watch everyone's songs here.

Four steps, from the first line to the gallery. Bring this page to your next lesson.
Write the song with your teacher
For studentsPick something you care about: a pet, a friend, a place, a feeling. Start with a chorus you can sing over and over, then add a verse or two.
For parentsYour teacher will guide the writing in November lessons. Ask your child to sing you the chorus at dinner. Short and finished beats long and perfect.
Record it
For studentsPractise until you can play it all the way through. Then record in a quiet room. A phone is all you need.
For parentsPut the phone close to the singer, turn off the TV and fans, and try three takes. Pick the one that feels the most fun, not the one with no mistakes.
Make a simple video
For studentsFilm yourself playing the song, or show photos and drawings while the recording plays. Smile at the start and at the end.
For parentsFilm sideways, with the light in front of your child, not behind. Keep last names, school logos and your street out of the shot.
Submit
For studentsAsk a parent to upload the video and fill in the form below.
