My name is Celeste, and I am a very passionate music teacher. I started learning music at 5 and earned my Grade 5 certificate in piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music, along with lessons in voice, guitar, ukulele, and recorder. I have been teaching since 2020 and furthered my music teaching in 2024. My priority is to make music and our lessons a safe place and something to look forward to. I want my students to see lessons as something they love, not just another chore or homework. Music is filled with passion, creativity, and self-identity, which is why I focus my lessons on being encouraging and fun, while still being technical. I have performed in multiple musical theatre productions and have sung and played an instrument in front of hundreds of people. This is why I also teach confidence. If my student is working towards musical theatre, concerts, auditions, or struggles with self-confidence, I will teach stage presence and the importance of confidence in yourself and your capabilities. Music has always been a form of therapy for me, as I use music to express my emotions. This can take the form of happiness, excitement, anger, and sadness. I want my students to see music as a tool for personal growth. Overall, my teaching style is based on learning techniques that will help you excel at music and excel within yourself. When I'm not teaching or in school, I play competitive softball and love art and sports.
