Hello, and thank you for checking out my profile! My name is Kyle, and I have been enamoured with music for as long as I can remember. I attended the Applied Music Advanced Diploma from Mohawk College and have been teaching since 2026. My approach to teaching involves using your favourite songs as a vehicle for explaining music theory, breaking down the "how" alongside the "why" behind a song's structure and the techniques used in its composition. This way, not only will you learn how to perform your go-to songs - you'll also develop a deeper understanding of how music works, which will make it easier to learn more songs and instruments in the future! I have been involved in a small handful of musical projects, ranging from jazz to punk and metal/hardcore. I have been performing since 2012, and I've also worked as a theatre technician in the performing arts and as an audio engineer at a music studio. When not teaching or performing, I enjoy movies, TV, and spending time with my cat, Macie.
