Hi, I'm Le, a professional cellist and music teacher with over 25 years of teaching experience. I hold two Master's degrees in Cello Performance, one from Tianjin Conservatory of Music and one from the University of Toronto. I have taught students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to advanced musicians, and I enjoy helping each student build a solid musical foundation while developing a lifelong love of music. As an active performer, I have extensive experience in solo, chamber music, and orchestral performance. Performing has taught me that great musicianship comes from combining solid fundamentals with musical expression, and I bring that perspective into every lesson. I teach cello at all levels and piano for beginner to intermediate students (up to approximately RCM Level 8). Every student is unique, so I tailor each lesson to the individual's goals and learning style, whether they are preparing for RCM examinations, auditions, youth orchestra, school performances, or simply learning for personal enjoyment. I believe music education should be both structured and enjoyable. Building a strong musical foundation is important, but so is inspiring curiosity, creativity, and confidence. My goal is to help students develop the skills and independence to enjoy making music throughout their lives. Outside of music, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring nature, taking walks, watching movies, and cooking. I believe that curiosity and a love of learning enrich every part of life, and I enjoy bringing that same positive energy into my lessons.
