Hi, I'm Rhea! I'm a University of Toronto music graduate with a specialization in Music Theory and Music History, and an ARCT in Harmony and Counterpoint from the Royal Conservatory of Music. I've been playing piano for over 13 years and have spent nearly six years teaching students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners sitting at the keys for the very first time to students preparing for RCM exams. I also teach music theory, which I think is one of the most underrated parts of a musical education. When students understand the "why" behind what they're playing, everything clicks faster and sticks longer. My teaching style is warm and relaxed but structured. I want every student to feel genuinely good at what they're working on, so I move at a pace that builds real confidence rather than rushing through material. I use the RCM curriculum as a guide, but I'm a big believer in finding music that actually excites you, whether that's classical, pop, video game music, or something in between. Outside of teaching, I'm a photographer, nanny and a huge music nerd who will happily go down a rabbit hole about your favourite musicians, genres and singers. I love working with students who have questions, and I never think there's such a thing as a silly one.
