Hello! I’m Hannah. I'm a multi-instrumentalist, film composer, conductor, and music educator originally from Northern Ireland. I am currently completing a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies in Music at the University of Ottawa, after having completed my Master of Research in Scoring for Screen and Bachelor of Music from The Queen's University Belfast. I have also achieved my Grade 8 ABRSM Piano and Grade 8 LCM Musical Theatre. With over five years of teaching experience, I have taught piano, guitar, music theory, musical theatre, and alto saxophone to students aged 3–20+, from beginner level through to advanced, across examination boards such as ABRSM, Trinity, and LCM. I aim to create lessons that are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual goals and learning style. I believe music should be enjoyable, creative, and accessible to everyone, whether students are learning for exams, performance, or simply for fun! Alongside my love for teaching, I score indie films, perform/write/arrange for jazz ensembles, and I currently play guitar for an Irish folk band here in Ottawa!
