To Miguel, it is no exaggeration that nothing comes as close to fulfilling as music (aside from really good food). Music has always served as his outlet of expression. Like all forms of art - music is driven by many things. Love, passion, the need to be creative, and the ability to use music to communicate ideas and feelings. Miguel believes in creating a safe space for students to be themselves and creatively express anything, free from judgment. From the age of 10, Miguel picked up the guitar and hasn’t stopped since. On the contrary, his hands began to pick up more and more - getting into drums and piano, digital music production, busking, and band performance. Not coming from the conventional path of learning music through academia, Miguel turned to books, live performances, programs, and online resources to hone his skills both as an independent musician and even further as an educator. Currently, Miguel writes and produces lo-fi/indie pop music for himself and for other artists under the name Teaboi, with his songs garnering over 160,000 streams on Spotify, and his music appearing on radio and in music magazines. As an educator, Miguel has worked as a music teacher and coordinator for music programs for youth in the United States. With comfortability with hands-on experience and a drive to educate, Miguel is eager to share his love of music and knowledge.
