With a passion for music spanning classical, contemporary, and popular styles, Hart Parnell blends formal training with years of performance experience in rock and blues bands. He studied classical guitar under renowned virtuoso Alex Dunn and graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Music (2017). In addition to his guitar background, Hart is a skilled pianist with comprehensive training in technique, repertoire, and Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exam preparation. Hart teaches piano, guitar, bass, and ukulele in all styles, and he brings a patient, adaptive approach to students of all ages and learning needs - including those with ADD, ADHD, and other diverse abilities. His lessons prioritize enjoyment and musical curiosity, supported by clear technique and foundational theory. Hart regularly transcribes music for his students, from pop and rock to classical works and video-game or TV themes, ensuring they learn the music that excites them while building the skills to grow independently as confident and well-rounded musicians.
