Hello! My name is Nicholas, and I'm a music instructor specializing in intermediate-level piano and beginner-level RCM Theory. I have been playing the piano for as long as I can remember (15+ years), initially focused on the RCM curriculum and then branching out later. I have been teaching piano since 2014, and have given lessons to students of all ages. While I do teach most of my students according to an established syllabus, I believe that it is equally important to give students the opportunity to engage with a wider variety of music. I find that when I actively work to expand students' repertoire to include music that they have a personal interest in, it helps to engage them with the instrument. I especially love learning music from television/video games, and can often relate with my students through this.
