I am a classical trained pianist with studies in music theory, composition and piano performance. I completed ARCT-level studies in 1994 and am currently at the LRCM Piano Performance level at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. I have been teaching in Toronto since 2009, at all levels from beginner to ARCT. I teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training as part of my lessons to develop well-rounded musical skills and instil in students a love and understanding of musical language. I have performed works by Bach - Concerto No. 1 in D minor for keyboard and orchestra; Beethoven Piano Concerto “Emperor”; as well as Beethoven and Mozart Sonatas, Liszt Etudes, Brahms Concerto, Isaac Albéniz suite, Etudes and Preludes by Frédéric Chopin, Olivier Messiaen, etc., among others. I am a lifelong learner and continue to advance my studies in composition and theory. My current ambition is to prepare Bach’s 30 Goldberg Variations for performance.
